What is going on in Delhi?
What is the pollution condition in delhi?
What is the massage delhi giving to the rest of the indian cities?
Pollution
in Delhi is increasing day by day. Increase in the particulate matter,
Delhi pollution is sending a message to the rest of the Indian cities
that they may get this kind of situation in the future.
The govt. of Delhi is blaming the farmers of Panjab and Haryana who
are burning paddy stubbles. But here we have to remember that after
deepavali, pollution in Delhi has increased. This point is saying that
the farmers of Panjab and Haryana cannot alone be blamed for the
pollution of Delhi. However the stubble burning area in the both states
has come down to low as central govt. has taken several steps to curb
the stubble burning. And, also formed a special team to educate the
farmers of the both states of Panjab and Haryana.
So, pollution is majorly causing by the vehicular emission and
illegal construction activities in national capital territory.
But the CM of Delhi, Mr. Kejriwal, has publicly criticised Panjab
CM for not controlling stubble burning activities in their state. This
is unfair and stressing the inability of the govt. to not control the
vehicular emission and industries. After dipavali, Air quality index has
raised to highest level. According to the data of central pollution
control board (CPCB), AQI was 410 – the severe condition.
SAFAR (system of air quality and weather forecasting research)
reported that P.M 2.5 is four times than the safe size that is 60 micro
gram per cubic metre. P.M 10 is at 3 times the safe size that is 100
micro gram per cubic metre.
As per the WHO survey of 1600 world cities. Two other Indian cities
than Delhi that have worst air quality, includes – Gwalior of
Madhyapradesh and Raipur of Chhattisgarh. Air pollution in india killing
1.5 million people every year.
Delhi
air pollution sending signal to the rest of the Indian cities that to
take care of vehicular emission as well as other pollution causing
agents.
This is stressing the importance of growing trees and encourage
eco-friendly activities in the cities. Then only we can hand-over
healthy and survivable India to the next generation.
